Training for Good is offering the Tarbell Fellowship, an opportunity for early-career journalists from around the world to secure funding of up to $50,000. 

The fellowship, which takes place from January to December 2024, focuses specifically on artificial intelligence. Successful applicants will receive mentorship from experienced journalists, feedback, and access to expert speakers.

Over nine months, fellows will also complete a placement at a major newsroom and participate in a study group covering AI governance and technical fundamentals. 

The programme concludes with a two-week summit in Oxford in March 2024 with all travel and accommodation costs covered. The application deadline is October 1st. Fellows are expected to bring fresh perspectives to major newsrooms and publications after graduation.
