Baobab Seeks Applications for SGBV Reporting Fellowship

Baobab for Women’s Human Rights (BAOBAB) invites journalists in Bauchi, Jigawa, and Kano to apply for its inaugural media fellowship addressing Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV).

This initiative aims to empower media practitioners to advocate against SGBV by producing impactful stories on efforts made by diverse stakeholders to combat these issues in Nigeria. 

Open to various media professionals, successful applicants will receive stipends for commissioned stories, with a one-day training session on SGBV issues and intervention strategies.

Interested journalists can apply until November 30, 2023, by submitting project pitches, bios, supervisor endorsements, and samples of previous work to mediafellowship.baobab@gmail.com.
