Throughout the fellowship, selected candidates will have the privilege to work closely with a mentor who will guide them in the reporting and writing of four pieces for The Open Notebook. This mentorship will help fellows enhance their storytelling skills and develop a deeper understanding of science communication. 

Additionally, fellows will become part of a professional discussion group composed of past fellowship recipients and esteemed editors, fostering a collaborative environment for knowledge sharing and networking.

Eligibility Criteria 

To be eligible for this fellowship, candidates must have a minimum of three years of professional experience writing about science. This includes not only seasoned science writers but also graduate students who have a keen interest in science writing. The program welcomes applications from international candidates, provided that all written work is submitted in English.
